Overall driver-seat comfort is aided by resting your elbows on the roomy door armrests and the soft top on the center console. That console, by the way, is really useful. It has two separate compartments ? a shallow one for change, glasses and the like, and a larger bin that has a power outlet, an MP3 jack and a notch in the side to run the cords for a portable MP3 player or phone charger.The MKX is tuned for a comfortable yet not wallowy ride. The four-wheel independent suspension handled curves and sudden avoidance maneuvers with excellent control. Road noise is very well isolated.
